Safe Space Training
Creating Safe Spaces for LGBT+ People
Our Mission
“From the classroom bully to the unintentional exclusion by use of certain language, LGBTQIA people frequently find themselves excluded and uncomfortable in a variety of settings. This workshop aims to reduce the often unwelcoming and even hostile environments in which LGBTQIA people navigate in their daily lives.”

The Safe Spaces workshop is a MUST HAVE for any organization. Safe Spaces will ensure that folks are sensitive to all the nuances in our culture today as it relates to the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Questioning, Intersex and Asexual (LGBTQIA) community. At Baltimore City Community College we regularly hold Safe Spaces workshops for our faculty and staff, and the reviews are always glowing. The session is very engaging and informational. I cannot recommend Safe Spaces enough, as attendees will learn to better identify and avoid microaggressions and other intentional or unintentional speech or actions. You will truly walk away from this session with a greater sense of cultural competence.
